Article summary

How to create a volunteer shift

There are two ways we can create a volunteer shift. Both fall under the volunteer tab.

The first way we can create a shift is by viewing the "Volunteer Calendar"

On this screen you can see other shifts you may have created on their respective days.
As you can see on the shift creation menu, we can set a duration for the shift, the name for a shift the role and location, the amount of people required and also add a shift description.

This information will also pull into any schedules sent to your volunteers.

These fields are also customisable and can be added to via your config login -> profile fields.

The second way to add volunteers to shows is to use the "volunteer shifts" option under the volunteers tab.

As you can see from the above screenshot you are presented with options to create shifts in the same way you would from the shift creation menu. You simply press "add another", type the information regarding your shift and then press save.

Exporting Shifts

These shifts can also be exported in different file formats by selecting them in the Volunteers section of Custom Fields on a standard export from your search results list.
