Restricting Field Permissions

Every profile field in the platform can be restricted by user access levels. For example if you have a field containing the Artist Performance Fee, you may wish to hide this from your Artist Liaison users.

Whilst in config and using the Profile Fields menu tab, we can navigate to any section as if we were adding or editing a profile field, in this example it would be Profile Fields -> Artist.  Next to the fields there is an orange button labelled Permissions.  Clicking this will take you to a page whereby you can set permissions for this field per user group.

Here we can see that the performance fee is set to All , for the Artist and Accounts but None for the Artist Liason.  This will allow the artist to see this field wherever it is merged, Artist Liason will not be able to see this field anywhere in the system.

Generally you will only be needing to set either All or None.  There are options to make a field view only, searchable or be able to only add to that field, not edit. So they can add new data but not overwrite current data.
