Article Summary

User edits on a submitted public form

If you would like someone to edit a public form there are two ways to achieve this.

Unique Edit Link In Email

If you need to email people who have completed a form (or indeed put the option to edit in the confirmation email)  you can insert a special link into the email template.

The code should look like this ?showBookEvent1&TID=55&BOOKINGCODE=::BOOKINGCODE::   (Please don't copy this into an email template, input via the mail merge feature to generate your system ID.

It is important to note that this works only when you send via the registrations of the form you wish them to edit. So be sure you are sending the email template with the edit link in via a list of form registrations not a profile search.

When sent out to a form registrant it will mail merge their specific form ID's and do some background magic to create their form edit link

Public Edit Links

If you need to get this link for an individual and not send them an email template you can do this via the Public Link found in their form registration.

In the example shown here, we can navigate to the public form in our dashboard, then view the registration of the person who's form we need to edit and either click the copy button, or click the public link button to go to their form and then copy and paste the URL from the browser.

You can then give this link to the individual to edit.
