Article Summary

How to create a new field in a profile.

The first thing we need to do is login to your config user.

Your dashboard will have different unique options available to config, in this case we will be using the "profile fields" Option.

From here you will see a dropdown which will bring you into each profile type (Artist, Vendor, Etc) and allow you to customise in as much detail as you require.

At the bottom left of the screen you will see "Add new option" From here we can create new field types to store against profiles.

Options - Allows you to customise multiple options inside of a field, for example "Type of stall" You could add "Food stall" "Clothes stall" and more inside Options.

Permissions - Will allow you to set what certains user types can see typically when accessing forms. For example if you send an vendor contract form to a vendor user type, with a mail merge for "Agreed site fee" but inside permissions for "Agreed site fee" Have vendor set to "None" For permissions on this field they will not be able to see this information on the form.

Group/Ungroup - With this option we can group fields together, this is useful if this information may need to be collected multiple times for one individual. For example, you might group fields relating to performances and performance times as there could be multiple shows one artist does during an event.

Add new option - This is going to allow us to create new profile fields. With the new fields you can manually go into a profile and input information or use a sync from a form to automatically allow information to merge into the newly created field. There are tons of profile field types to choose from click here to see more.
